For chocolate lovers, the good news just keeps piling up. Research released in May showed that a compound in dark chocolate protects the brain after a stroke (meaning it likely helps even healthy brain cells defend themselves against deterioration). But cheap milk chocolate candy doesn't count--look for quality bars, ideally with a 70% cocoa content.
