If you have high cholesterol, you might want to try the DASH diet.  A new study found that this sensible eating plan lowered cholesterol levels by eight percent.  It also lowered blood pressure, and reduced participants' 10-year risk of having a heart attack by 18 percent, compared to people who ate a typical American diet. The study was published in the American Heart Association (AHA) journal, Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes.
